TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
Payment of this invoice by the customer constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions of the agreement between Adelaide Timber Cladding (ATC) and the customer as appears herein.
TERMS OF PAYMENT
A deposit of 50% of the order value is to be paid before order is either cut or packed. Your order will not be started until receipt of the 50% deposit. If the order is cancelled prior to delivery and after being packed or cut, a restocking fee will be charged taking part or all of the deposit paid.
The final payment
of 50% is to be paid prior to
delivery. Your goods will not be
dispatched until full payment is received.
- Payment is strictly prepaid, unless C.O.D. has been specifically arranged.
- Receipt of deposits or any delivery instructions, given to ATC, are viewed as acceptance to the terms and conditions.
- If full payment is not made prior to unloading (or alternatives arranged with ATC), timber will not be left onsite.
- Pre-payment of full invoice value is required for special orders.
- ATC shall retain title to the products until it has received payment in full for all products and services supplied by it to the Customer.
- You will own a product once we have received payment in full.
A product will be your responsibility from the time we deliver the product to the address you gave us or you or a carrier organised by you collect it from us. Risk of goods shall pass to the customer upon delivery.
Delivery times made known to the customer are estimates only and ATC will not accept liability for late delivery, including loss or damage occasioned to the customer or others arising from late or non-delivery.
Deliveries are for kerbside delivery to site. Placement of timber other than on kerbside is at the discretion of the truck driver. ATC will not accept responsibility for damage to property or persons, where the driver has been instructed to place deliveries other than on kerbside. At least one person must be onsite to accept delivery and assist with unloading. If assistance is not available, additional fee will apply.
ATC makes every effort to advise accurate delivery costs, however, we reserve the right to charge for additional costs. Charges for deliveries are charged by time, and prices may vary depending on road conditions.
For arranged customer pickups, the customer must ensure that the vehicle is suitable to the task of safely carrying the load as per DPTI and/or other statutory requirements.
DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE GOODS
Please inspect your timber delivery. If notified within 14 days, ATC will replace or discount defective or damaged goods, providing it can be proven that the damage or defect was sustained prior to receiving the goods (replacement costs are for materials only and do not include labour).
CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS
Cancellation of ‘Set Length’ and ‘Special’ orders may attract costs, and Radial Timber Sales reserves the right to recoup these costs from any deposits held.
Cancellations of orders are not accepted once delivery has been made.
Return of goods for credit will only be accepted if such goods are in the original condition as supplied. A restocking fee will be applied, depending on type and condition of goods.
TIMBER IS A NATURAL PRODUCT
Wood is a living product, we cannot be held responsible for splitting, warping or discolouration and/or tannin bleed of our products after delivery. Timber contains different colour shades, granular variations and will mature and darken over time. Being natural solid timber, it will move to some degree; this is part of the character of timber and the beauty is that no two pieces are the same!
Tannins are water-soluble extractives present in some timbers such as meranti, spotted gum, blackbutt, and western red cedar to name a few. These tannins are leached out by water (rain) or moisture and can cause staining of surrounding areas. Your timber should be kept dry at all times prior to coating with a timber oil or sealer. Seal the timber on all sides including the cut ends before installing.
Once coated, bleeding is significantly reduced. However, care should
still be taken when installing timber above or near lighter coloured paving/concrete
(if left to dry it is possibly to cause permanent staining). Be sure to wash away any leaked tannin with
water immediately to avoid staining.
